Mexico City Dental Directory

Mexico City is a sprawling metropolis of 25 million people - claimed to be the second largest city in the world - and notorious for its pollution problems. Yet visitors from all over the globe are enticed here to visit the ruins of the Aztecs capital of Tenochtitlán, a myriad of world-class museums, and, a short drive away, the massive pyramids of Teotituacán. Once in the city, these visitors are often surprised to find wide tree lined boulevards and impressive monuments dominating the central area, whilst in the evening cosmopolitan restaurants and bars spill out onto the streets and buzz with tourists and locals almost all through the night.

Whatever your preconceptions about this vast city, it should not be missed. Many international flights arrive at Benito Juárez International Airport, and to fly straight out to the regions would be a wasted opportunity. Allow one or two days here and you can touch the tip of the iceberg of "must-sees", but only a longer stay can give you a real feel for the city. In addition to the important sights in the city center, we’d recommend spending some time in the colorful suburbs - an excursion to the Great Pyramids of Teotihuacán is a must, but consider also the floating gardens of Xochimilco and colonial town atmosphere of Coyoacán
